Presentation Practice

Every semester students make presentations in a variety of courses. This 30-minute work session  offers the opportunity for students to practice their presentations, including responding to audience questions. The final portion of the session includes discussion with Tutoring Center and Library staff to provide valuable feedback about content and delivery.

How to Make an Appointment 

You will have to be on the Pace network in order to log in.

  1. Go to https://tutortrac.pace.edu, you will have to accept the certificate.
  2. Log on using your Pace credentials (your email without @pace.edu and your password)
  3. Hit Search Availability.
  4. Select Center: Academic Coaching & Workshops Section:  ‘other’ and update the date range to be 11/29 – 12/15 then hit search.
  5. Find the “Library Support” section you wish to attend, click it, fill out the information, Reason as “Presentation Practice”; other information is optional but would be appreciated and hit Save. Your appointment has been made!

If you would like to cancel your appointment, on the main page of tutortrac, it will show you what appointments you have made.  Click the “X” bubble next to the appointment you wish to cancel.

Stress-Free Week at the Mortola Library

The Mortola Library will host another Stress-Free Week of activities starting December 5. Students are encouraged to join us for our popular Toast-mageddon event, Therapy Dogs, Game Night, puzzles, clay sculpture, and more!

Monday, Dec. 5:

Enjoy free toast as we “toast” the end of the semester — it’s Toast-mageddon! (10am- 4pm)

Tuesday, Dec. 6:

Color and Relax! (9am- 5pm)

Wednesday, Dec. 7:

De-stress with Therapy Dogs from the Good Dog Foundation! (10am- 3pm, Birnbaum Room)

Zen Gardening! (9am- 5pm)

Thursday, Dec. 8:

Therapy Dogs, Birnbaum Room (10am- 1pm)

Therapy Dogs, Kessel Student Center (1- 3pm)

Friday Film Series

This semester students have been attending the Friday Film Series at 7 pm in the Mortola Library. Running until December, each film in the series is hosted by Dr. Rebecca Martin, who leads a discussion following the screening. Admission is FREE.

This We Believe

Please join us at the Mortola Library tomorrow (Sept. 30) at 10:30 for the This We Believe read-aloud. Students will be reading “This I Believe” personal statements and sharing their experiences with the Pace community.

Refreshments will be served. Please note that the reading has been moved to the first floor of the Library, near the phone charging lockers.
